I liked the one exercise we did in class about post modernism poetry. So I went back and redid a poem about my abortion story. Hope you guys enjoy.
Thinking, waiting, thinking, waiting
RED!
RED!
RED!
Scared, lonely, scared, lonely
BLOOD! BLOOD
BLOOD!BLOOD!
CUts, digging, cuts, digging
DEATH!DEATH!DEATH!
FOREVER Choices are FOREVER!!!
As for Pink Institute I really liked the style it was written in. Especially the first couple of pages. It was like nothing I've seen before. A lot different from my American Lit class. I enjoyed it because I was a little lost it made me think,

More revising
To me revising is not a very easy thing to do. I always think my 1st draft is my best draft. i'm not sure why because i know this isn't true at all. no one's best work comes out at 1st. You have to read reread and reread again. Figure out whats working and take out whats not. It's even better if you have peers review your work. $ eyes are always better than 2. I will take all of tis into consideration when rewriting all my stoires and poems.

Revising
I think revising is very important, because nobody's bets work comes out in the 1st draft. When you have other people read your work and get feedback on it, you can jsut build from it and make it even better. Its good to have a fresh set of eyes read your work, because they might see something that you don't. So with all the stuff i have gotten revised in class, i will have a positive outlook on it and make it better.

Walt Whitman
Last semester i had a class about the history of NYC and we read a lot about Walt Whitman. I really enjoyed him, he wrote a lot about the City and how people were and how they lived. He wrote from simple things as the Brooklyn Bridge and just taking the Staten USland Ferry. I loved how he could take such a simple subject and make it so moving. here is a link of some of his stuff.

Poet
My favorite poet, even though i do not know of many is William Shakespeare. I really like a lot of his sonnets. Including Sonnet 14, i like how he criticizes the love of his life and states she isn’t perfect, but because of her imperfections he loves her. I actually used that as a base to write my own poem to a girl. I got her to cry, so mission accomplished. William is known for many of his tragedies and comedies, but I really do enjoy him as a poet. I have left a link to check some out.
