My favorite poet, even though i do not know of many is William Shakespeare. I really like a lot of his sonnets. Including Sonnet 14, i like how he criticizes the love of his life and states she isn’t perfect, but because of her imperfections he loves her. I actually used that as a base to write my own poem to a girl. I got her to cry, so mission accomplished. William is known for many of his tragedies and comedies, but I really do enjoy him as a poet. It seems as though you like Shakespeare's poetry more so than his plays, and I do too. Even though I like his plays, I've always been more drawn to his poetry. Sonnet 73 is one of my favorites because it is about autumn, which is my favorite season, and compares autumn to man who is dying. I always found it interesting because it made me think about autumn in a different way.
